Artist's Bio
John
DeFrance
Dallas, Texas
Born and raised in Midland, Texas, where the environment impacted his artistry, John obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Texas Tech University, '94, with an emphasis in painting. He specializes in landscapes, with a particular unique style woven into sunsets.
After jump-starting his career as an artist following college, John moved to the renowned center of southwest art influences and genre, Santa Fe, N.M. He was selected as one of just 15 artists in the Gen-Art Southwest "New Talent Search" exhibition there, and also the Meyer-Munson Gallery displayed his works.
John's works have appeared over the years in England and regionally in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado.
He currently is one of three featured artists at the Edmund-Craig Gallery in Fort Worth, Texas.
